BNP Paribas Fortis? ORMIT? What's going on here?

It’s simple, really. By now, you understand that BNP Paribas Fortis needs talent to steer their digital transformation. But you also get that people aren't born like that. They need to be trained, developed, coached, ... That’s what we do at ORMIT. And we do it by organising unique traineeships.

During the traineeship, you will be employed, coached and trained by ORMIT while working on challenging projects at BNP Paribas Fortis. After successfully completing these 18 months, you will get the opportunity to go and work for BNP Paribas Fortis.

Is this a traineeship for you?

Our 18-month traineeship will transform you from a talented youngster into a future leader. It will push you to unlock your potential. All of it. And fast too.

We’ll send you on an explicitly transversal path, bringing you to different corners of BNP Paribas Fortis. You’ll take on several projects to help you discover the inner workings of the bank and their effects. It’s hard to imagine a better place to kickstart your career.

On top of that, you’ll have a great compagnon-de-route with ORMIT who will help you to discover your own talents and competences. We’ll provide you with a unique personal development plan, packed with training, coaching, co-learning-with-peers sessions, individual development exercises and career guidance. We’ll challenge you into self-reflection and help you grow thanks to high-quality feedback and guidance. Don’t forget: at ORMIT, you are the core business. So expect to get our full attention. Hi, I am Thomas and during the traineeship I got to know different departments of the bank. I worked in IT, E2E operations and Marketing. It demands a certain flexibility to change areas but ORMIT provided me with the right guidance to cope with it!

Hi! Yes my name is also Thomas. (Did you know that there are three Thomasses in the programme?) I just finished my Digital traineeship at ORMIT and started in a fixed position in Marketing at BNP Paribas Fortis. During the traineeship, I really enjoyed the focus on personal leadership to help me develop further. 

On what type of projects will I work?

It’s impossible to describe to you precisely what your projects will look like. That’s the nature of innovation – it moves pretty fast. But we can give you a general idea by tapping into the stories of the guys and girls that went before you. One thing they all have in common: they change the bank from within.

For instance: previous trainees took part in projects to improve the complaints journey at BNP Paribas Fortis, transforming it from a nineties maybe-you’ll-get-a-response-one-day into a smart, human-centric process, based on a strong digital backbone. They also worked on rethinking the mortgage process and on projects that involve the way the bank works with vaults. Some trainees were very hands-on involved in turning the credit-application process digital. Other projects involved improving the CRM using big data, implementing gamification into the marketing and working on digital touchpoints for clients to reach out to the bank.

It’s a wide range – we know. But whatever crosses your path, it will steer you towards a future in marketing or end-to-end operations at the bank.

  • Online motivation interview to check your motivation and who you are as a person, followed by online competence tests. 
  • Interview with business case. 
  • Assessment day with role playing, a personal presentation and a personality test. BNP Paribas Fortis will also be present. 
If we feel a match all the way through, your ORMIT contract will be waiting.
